Big Snugs are knit from the top down in the round on circular needles. No heel turning here, so this pattern is much simpler than a traditional sock.
The boots are knit first, then felted to insure a stable boot-like fit.

Yarn: 100% wool, worsted weight for the exterior; 100% worsted weight alpaca for the interior lining.
For one set in the largest size, the exteriors require 550 yards of the wool and interiors require 450 yards of the alpaca.

Additional Materials: Four 4"  swatches of a thin suede material to be sewn on the sole to create non-slip bottoms (a template included in the pattern shows how to cut & attach them).

Needles: Size 10, 16" circular needle, split-ring stitch markers, a stitch holder, yarn needle

Finished Size: Patterned for three finished sizes: US Women's 6-7.5 / 7.5-10.5 / 10.5-12. The exact finished size is determined by how much the boots are felted.
