Our Bow hat knits up like a standard hat, with a twist. The edging detail features a "tuck" stitch, meaning you'll learn a little something new when  you knit this pattern. It is knit first, then felted. Felt it less for a looser brim, knit it more for a tighter, caplike fit.

Yarn: 100% wool, worsted weight, for the largest size estimate 220 yards for the main color; 50 yards for the contrasting color

Needles: Size 10, 16" circular needles plus any smaller-diameter circular needle for picking up stitches to create the “piping” at the brim’s edges; size 10 double point needles to work the decrease at the crown, yarn needle

Level: Advanced beginner

Finished Size: Patterned for four finished sizes: 18" , 20" , 22" , 24"  (baby through adult)
