Big Snugs are knit from the top down in the round on circular needles. No heel turning here, so this pattern is much simpler than a traditional sock.
The boots are knit first, then felted to insure a stable boot-like fit.

Yarn: 100% wool, worsted weight for the exterior; 100% worsted weight alpaca for the interior lining. 
For one set in the largest size, the exteriors require 450 yards of the wool and interiors require 400 yards of the alpaca

Additional Materials: Four 3"  swatches of a thin suede material to be sewn on the sole to create a non-slip surface.

Needles: For sizes 1-2, one set of size 10 double-pointed needles, for sizes 3-7, size 10, 16" circular needles, two stitch holders, split-ring stitch markers and a yarn needle

Finished Size: Patterned for seven finished sizes for infants through 10 year olds. Sizes 1-2 are for feet that are 3.25" - 4.75" in length and sizes 3-7 are for feet that are 4.75" - 9.5" in length.
