The layers are made using short row shaping and the tuck technique. All techniques are explained with clear instructions and photos.
Yarn: 100% wool, worsted weight 250 yards blue, 120 yards each of brown, gold-green and green.
Additional Materials: One set of purse handles, approximately 6.75" long and 4.75" tall, fusible interfacing, 1/4" flat elastic and 1/2 yard of fabric to cover handles.
Needles: One size 10 circular needle, a second circular needle (size 7 or smaller for picking up the tuck stitches, one pair of size 10 double-pointed needles to work i-cords around the ring handles; a yarn needle and a sewing needle.
Extras: A 9” dress zipper, matching htread, two 5”, 9-gauge brass handles (available where macramé supplies are sold).
